Jay Van Eaton

Jay VanEaton Sr was born in Medina, ND August 29, 1952 to Jack and Sarah (Grice) VanEaton. He was raised on a farm outside of Medina. Later moved to Jamestown. Worked construction and drove truck. Loved old time rock and roll, westerns, old, fast and loud cars and having a good time. Also loved cooking and was great at it. Loved his children and grandchildren and his dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, sons; Jay Jr., Shilo (Sonja), daughters; Mindy Barney, Amy (Isaac) Pollack, grandchildren; Tanner, Caiden, Owen, Zachorey, Brianna, Natalie, Wyatt, and Johanna, brothers; Jacky (Dee) VanEaton and Joe VanEaton, sisters; Sherry (Ray) Hanson, Sue (Dale) Karn, and many nieces and nephews.

He will be missed and was loved deeply.

Visitation will be Friday, April 17, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, with a Burial to follow at 2:00 PM at the Medina Cemetery, Medina ND.

Due to the current pandemic, Eddy Funeral Home will be upholding the regulations given to us by the CDC and Governor Doug Burgum. This includes; no more than 10 people gathering in the funeral home or at the cemetery.
