Ione Rott

Ione Rott, 97, Jamestown, North Dakota died Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Ave Maria Village in Jamestown.

Ione Colberg was born March 16, 1914 near Lehr, North Dakota, the daughter of George and Hattie (Dement) Colberg. Ione married William Rott on February 2, 1934. They made their home in McIntosh County for a short while and then moved to Nortonville, ND. In 1948, pursuing a better education for their three sons, they moved to Jamestown.

Ione was a member of the Methodist Church Womens Circle, Eagles Auxiliary and Jamestown Country Club. She enjoyed life with her family and winters in Arizona.

Ione is survived by her three sons, Eugene (Joanne) Rott and Lloyd Rott (special friend, Sandy) both of Jamestown, and Lyle (Judy) Rott, Gilbert, AZ; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Wayne (Jean) Colberg, Fargo, ND and sister-in-law, Violet Colberg, Jamestown.

She was preceded in death by her husband; brother, Virgil, and daughter-in-law, Wanda Rott.
