Henry Reimers

Henry H. Reimers, 87, Jamestown, ND died Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Henry was born April 16, 1926 in Bordulac, ND the son of William M. and Ella (Scharf) Reimers. He received his education in a rural country school near Bordulac. On October 1, 1950 Henry enlisted in the US Army and served in Germany. Upon his honorable discharge in September 1952 he returned to North Dakota. On April 21, 1956 Henry married Joanne Kurtz. He farmed all his life in the Courtenay area, retiring in 1988. They moved into Jamestown in 1990.

Henry enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and attending his grandchildren's sporting events and concerts. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

Henry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joanne; Jamestown; five children, Greg Reimers, Gillette, WY, Marsha (Randy) Krapp, Jamestown, Tim Reimers, Wimbledon, ND, Jeff (Tina) Reimers, Jamestown and Michelle (Don) Scott, Denver, CO; 12 grandchildren, Kelsey, Trevor, Evan, Justine, Sydney, Shawn, Rayann, Jade, Jasmine, Camryn, Emery and Nikki ; two brothers, Laurence (Viola) Reimers, Jamestown and Floyd (Elaine) Reimers, Alaska; one sister, Darlene Loebrick, Tucker, GA; one sister-in-law, Ruby Reimers, Jamestown; and one brother-in-law, Ellis "Ole" Fluetsch.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, William "Bill" and one sister, Elaine.
