Helen Moser, 89, Medina, North Dakota, died Friday, February 27, 2009 at Triumph Hospital in Mandan, North Dakota.
Helen Lorenz was born April 18, 1919 near Fried, ND, the daughter of Anton and Francis (Fila) Lorenz. Helen grew up and attended school in the area. Helen served in the U.S. Army from September 1944 to March 1945. On May 6, 1946 Helen married Ernest C. Moser at Thermopolis, Wyoming. Helen was a homemaker until 1972. She and Ernest started Stutsman County Sanitation where they worked until retiring in 1988. Helen was a member of United Methodist Church, Medina. She enjoyed sewing , embroidering and painting on pillow cases and dish towels. She was an avid New York Yankees fan and had a love for horses. Helen loved spending time with her daughter Sherry, whom both considered each others best friend.
Helen is survived by one son, Kenneth Moser, Fargo, ND; three daughters, Jean Moser, Fargo, Linda Moser Eicholtz, Bismarck, ND, and Sherry (Clifford) Meadows, Medina; daughter-in-law, Connie Moser, Medina; five grandchildren, Hope (Andy) Heller and Shannon Moser, both of Jamestown, ND, Dawn (Eldroy) Salinas, Medina, Russell Eicholtz, Fargo, and Ryan Moser, Bismarck; three great grandchildren, Megan Meza, Caitlin Meza, and Keisha Lynn Salinas and two cats, Spot and Midnight, who provided companionship to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest; one son, Donald; and numerous sisters and brothers.
Funeral service: 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at United Methodist Church, Medina, ND with Rev. Darwin Kopfmann, officiating.
Visitation: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, March 3 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND.
Burial: Medina Cemetery, Medina, ND in the spring.
