Helen Bothne

Helen Bothne, 100, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Sunday, August 29, 2010 at Eventide at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center in Jamestown.

Helen Boschee was born March 14, 1910 at Wishek, ND, the daughter of Jacob and Katherine (Rudolph) Boschee. She grew up and attended school in Wishek. She moved to Bismarck, ND and worked for Gov. Langers family. She moved to Jamestown where she met her future husband. On November 1, 1941 Helen marred Elmo Bothne in St. Louis, MO and they moved to the Chicago area. She stayed in Chicago and worked while Elmo served in the US Navy during WWII. In 1962, they moved to Miramar, FL. Elmo passed away on October 1, 1991. Helen moved to Jamestown in September 1992.

Helen became a resident of Central Dakota Village in April 2007. In February 2010 she moved to Rosadale, where she celebrated her 100th birthday. On July 7, 2010 she moved to Eventide at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home.

Helen is survived by nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo; parents; 5 brothers; and 8 sisters.
