Harvey B Olson

Harvey B Olson, 64, of Jamestown,
ND, formerly Montpelier,
ND, died Friday, November 5, 2010 at Sanford Medical
Center, Fargo, ND.

Harvey B Olson was born February 18, 1946, in Marion, ND,
the son of Rolf and Meva (Witzig) Olson.
He received his education at Adrian, ND and Montpelier
High School. Harvey worked
at the Ypsilanti Elevator for a few years, then married Lani Spilde on October
18, 1969 at Montpelier, ND.
They moved to Garden City, SD where he managed an elevator. The family moved to Enderlin,
ND where Harvey
again managed an elevator. They moved to
Montpelier
where he drove semi, did custom haying, and operated a gas station until he
retired due to illness. In 2005, they
moved to Jamestown
where their home has been since.

Harvey
was the Mayor of Montpelier and active in community affairs, and he was a
member of the Montpelier Betterment club and Montpelier Lutheran
Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, driving tractors
and haying, and his dog, Winchester.

Harvey is survived by his wife, Lani Olson, Jamestown;
two daughters, Lisa (Spencer) Brandt, Dickey, ND and Holly (Brian) Bertsch,
Montpelier, ND; four grandchildren, Dillon Carpenter, Justin Bertsch, Jackie
Carpenter, and Jamie Bertsch; three step-grandchildren, Tricia (Neil) Lebahn,
Jessica (Brian) Nelson, and Tatem (Amanda Slykerman) Brandt; one brother, Mel (Kim)
Olson, Fargo, ND; and special friends, Robin, Desiree, and Denise.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two
brothers, Marvin and Larry; and two nephews, Craig and Mark.

Funeral Service: 1:30PM, Tuesday, November 9, 2010
at Montpelier Lutheran
Church, Montpelier.

Visitation: 1:00PM - 7:00PM, Monday, November 8, 2010
at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.

Prayer Service: 7:00PM, Monday, November 8, 2010 at
Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.

Burial: Montpelier
Cemetery, Montpelier, ND.
