Harlan Vining

March 6, 1959 — December 20, 2020

Harlan Vining, 61, Jamestown, North Dakota died on Sunday, December 20, 2020 due to a pickup truck accident.

Harlan was born on March 6, 1959 the son of Darrel and Marlys (Holm) Vining. He graduated from Jamestown high school and married Cynthia Bischoff in 1978. They lived in Jamestown until 1981, and moved to Williston, ND. They divorced in 1984. Harlan Married Susan Nordtut and they were married for 11 years. He owned Harlan’s Tile Work in Minot for a while before he moved back to Jamestown where he met Nancy Lou Jensen.

Harlan enjoyed fishing, camping, motorcycling, and participating in VSAP (Veteran Suicide Awareness and Prevention) and Christmas in July, put on by the Anne Carlson School, on his motorcycle.

He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and children, Jason and Veronica Vining.

Harlan is survived by his sister: Tami Rumer, nephew: Derek Rumer, niece: Morgan Rebsom, and previous wives: Susan Nordtut and Cindy Bischoff.

Visitation: 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday, December 28, 2020 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Celebration of life will be held in Spring 2021.
