Gordy Wilke, 64, Jamestown, ND left us on October 6, 2025, surrounded by his family that loved him dearly and made his trip to Heaven.

Gordy grew up in Tappen, ND the son of Gordon and Genevieve Wilke. Gordy moved to Jamestown, ND and met the love of his life, Tammy Schweitzer. Gordy was a postal contractor for many years. The rest of the time was spent on their farm, training and taking care of his horses. Their “Happy Place” was the race tracks, surrounded by friends. Gordy was an amazing horse trainer and the winner of many races.

Gordy is survived by his loving wife Tammy; his son Nathan; his grandchildren Alex, Brady, Chandler, Dominic, Brooks, Allie, and Aleela Schweitzer; brothers-in-law Lonnie Schweitzer and Butch Schweitzer; sister-in-law June Nelson; siblings Darwin (Lori) Wilke, Dilene (Vern) Bruns and nieces and nephews he loved dearly.

Gordy was preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Genevieve Wilke, his brother Duane Wilke, parents-in-law Rose and Robert Schweitzer, nephew Jeremy Wilke and is now reunited with his youngest son, Derek Wilke.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Eddy Funeral Home with Pastor Erik Weber officiating. Interment will be in Highland Home Cemetery.

Eddy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
