Gerald Fredrickson

Gerald Allen Fredrickson, 69, Fargo, North Dakota, formerly of Jamestown and Kensal, died Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Manor Care in Fargo.

Gerald \""Jerry\"" was born June 13, 1940, the son of Clarence and June (Koves) Fredrickson. He was born and raised on the family farm outside of Kensal, ND. His sister, Carol, taught Jerry to ride a bicycle around the farm and when he moved to town, he was the first to start recycling, riding around town on his bike picking up cans. He became affiliated with Alpha Opportunities in April 1986. Jerry traveled the western United States visiting with his family. In later years, Jerry moved to Jamestown and resided at the Gardenette, where he made many wonderful friends.

Jerry is survived by one sister, Dorothy (Robert) Messmer, Elma, WA; two brothers, Clarence (Linda) Fredrickson, Newbury Park, CA and Larry (Teresa) Fredrickson, Anderson, CA; and numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

Thank you to the many caregivers and friends from Alpha, too many to name, \""You are the angels among us.\"" You have all helped make Jerry's passing that much easier.

Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
