Frieda Hauf

Frieda Hauf, 92, of Jamestown, ND, passed away late Friday morning, December 4, 2020 at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.

Frieda Hauf was born December 1, 1928, in Gerber Township, Stutsman County, ND, the daughter of Julius and Pauline (Ferl) Hauf. She grew up on the family farm and attended country school in area. The family eventually moved to Woodworth, ND and Frieda remained with her aging parents to help them in their later years. She was employed at the Woodworth Public School and cooked at Rewald’s Café at Woodworth. Frieda moved to Medina, ND in 1973 and worked in the kitchen at Hi-Acres Manor, Jamestown for 12 years. She retired in 1987 and enjoyed senior bus trips to various states and the coasts, embroidering, arts and crafts, and her garden and flowers. Frieda loved frogs and had a great collection of them.

Frieda is survived by her sister, Gertrude Neumiller; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Emma, and brothers, William, Rudolph, Martin, Gustav, Otto, and Walter.

Public Visitation: 9:00 a.m., to 4:00 p.m., Monday, December 7, 2020 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Medina Cemetery, Medina.
