Frank Swart, 72, Cleveland, North Dakota, died Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Jamestown Hospital.
Frank was born August 21, 1937 in Heaton, ND, the son of Ralph and Dorothy (Myers) Swart. He grew up and attended rural school in the Heaton area. Frank farmed with his parents until he moved to Jamestown in 1973. On September 12, 1966, Frank married Linda Lou Gunsch in Heaton. He was a rural mail carrier for several years, and later worked for the Coca-Cola plant and Reuben Scherbenske, both of Jamestown. In 1979 Frank began his employment with the City of Jamestown as a sanitation engineer. He retired in 1991 due to health reasons.
Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and spending time with his family.
Frank is survived by three sons, Marvin and Randy Olson, Holly, MI and Tyron Swart, Wimbledon, ND; one daughter Terrie Olson, New Mexico; four grandchildren; two sisters, Agnes Easton, Berea, KY and Myrt Anderson, Webster, ND; two brothers, Charlie Swart, Charleston, IL and Earl Swart, Arizona; and a special friend, Dorothy Brown, Cleveland.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; two brothers; and twin grandchildren.
