Francis \""Frankie\"" Docktor, 84, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Monday, April 5, 2010 at the St. Rose Care Center in LaMoure, ND.
Frankie was born July 23, 1925 in Jamestown, the son of Frank J. and Mary (Gottsman) Docktor. He received his education in Homer township. On March 12, 1953, Frankie entered the US Army and served in the Korean conflict. Upon his discharge on February 22, 1955 he returned to North Dakota. On August 25, 1953 Frankie married Alvina Burkle in Jamestown. He farmed on the family homestead in Homer township all his life.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and attending auction sales.
Frankie is survived by four sons, Idele Burkle, Jamestown, Jim (Joyce) Docktor, Alamo, NV, Leonard (Janet) Docktor, Tonopah, NV and Tom (Shannon) Docktor, Jamestown; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Don Dockter, Blue Springs, MO.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and three brothers.
