Fern Aipperspach, 93, Jamestown, ND died at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown, ND on Saturday, March 27, 2010.

Fern Isabelle Peterson was born on February 28, 1917 at Jamestown, ND the daughter of Peter A. and Isabelle (Swann) Peterson. She was raised and attended school in Jamestown. Fern married James Schmitt in the 1940's. They made Jamestown their home. Fern had been employed at the Biss Cleaners, Jamestown; the North Dakota State Hospital as an Activities Therapist Aid and as an Avon Lady. She married Daniel Aipperspach at Aberdeen, SD in 1955. She retired in 1974.

Fern was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Jamestown. She was also a member of the Grace Guild and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed crewel, flower gardening, crafts, bowling and golf, and fishing and hunting with her son. Her favorite companion was Heidi, her dachshund.

Survivors include her son James W. (Sherrill) Schmitt, Jamestown, ND and several grandchildren including Tammy Trangsrud and Jeffrey Trangsrud. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, Roy, and a granddaughter.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Lisko Funeral Chapel with Father Kevin Goodrich officiating.

Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2010 at Lisko Funeral Chapel and 1 hour prior to services on Tuesday.

Interment: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND.
