Emily Ova

Emily Ova, 80, Jamestown, North Dakota died Friday, September 3, 2010 at Ave Maria Village Nursing Home, Jamestown, North Dakota. Emily Job was born December 10, 1929 in Jamestown, North Dakota to John and Barbara (Permann) Job. Emily attended Jamestown public school. On October 14, 1947, she married Mervyn Ova in Fessenden, North Dakota. Mervyn and Emily farmed in the Pingree area until retirement in 1995 when they moved to Jamestown. Mervyn passed away July 29, 2004. Emily entered Ave Maria Village Nursing Home in June 2010. Emily was surrounded by her loving children at the time of her passing. She belonged to VFW Auxiliary. Emily enjoyed camping, fishing, trips to the casino with her family, playing cards, working on puzzles and visiting with family and friends. She is survived by; daughter, Barb (Richard) Nysted, Carrington, ND, son, Jack (Deb) Ova, Jamestown, ND, son, Cal (Annette) Ova, Jamestown, ND, son, Dean (Linda) Ova, Pingree, ND and daughter, Patty (Dwight) Legge, Sanborn, ND; 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren and 11 step great grandchildren; two sisters, Alvina (Otto) Kracht, Jamestown, ND and Vi (Dick) Williams, Brownwood, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Rueben and one sister, Sally.
