Elsie Zimmerman

Elsie May Zimmerman, age 99, resident of Baxter, died Monday, December 14, 2015 at Diamond Willow Care Center.
Elsie was born September 8, 1916 at Merricourt N.D. the daughter of Gottfried and Carolina Roeszler grew up and attended school there. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Monango, N.D. Attended Webbers School of Hairdressing at Grand Forks, N.D. and worked at Kulm briefly. Elsie was also employed at the JCPenney Company for several years. She married Ted Zimmerman October 4, 1941 at Ellendale, N.D. They lived in Kulm a short time and she lived in Merricourt until Ted returned after Military Service. They moved to Jamestown in 1945 and lived there until 2013 and then moved to Brainerd, MN. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Jamestown, N.D.
She is survived by one son Rodney (Sandra) of Brainerd, MN., one grandson Chris (Amy) of Brainerd, one granddaughter Jill Roddy (Brian) of Cincinnati, Ohio, two great grandsons and two great granddaughters. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four sisters and three brothers.

A Memorial Services for family and friends will be held in the spring.
