Ella Martel

Ella Martel, 84, Medina, North Dakota died Sunday, November 23, 2003 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center in Jamestown, ND. Ella was born in Medina, ND on September 23, 1919 the daughter of Sever & Inga (Halvorson) Olson. She received her education in Medina country schools. On July 16, 1951 she married George Martel in Medina, ND

They lived and farmed near Medina for many years. She was a member of the English Lutheran Church, Medina and served on the Altar Guild. She enjoyed embroidery and word seek.

Ella is survived by her daughter and son in law, Sharon & Dennis Behm, Medina; three grandchildren, Angela, Mrs. Jared Ash, of Coon Rapids, MN, Carrie, of Coon Rapids, MN, and Bryan, of Bismarck, ND. One great grandchild, Madison, Two sisters in law, Rose Schlaht of Jamestown and Lillian Olson of Medina, ND, one brother in law; Albert Meyer of Summit, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two grandsons, one brother, (Elmer Olson).
