Elizabeth Christ

Elizabeth Christ, 100, Jamestown, ND, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Ave Maria Village in Jamestown.

Elizabeth Rumer was born at the home place in Uxbridge township, near Wimbledon, ND, on December 5, 1911 to Peter and Alvina (Treitline) Rumer. She attended Uxbridge Consolidated School. She was a member of St. John's Methodist Church and the Ladies Aid.

On May 10, 1930 Elizabeth married John Christ. They farmed the home place near Wimbledon. In 1977 they built a home in Jamestown. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Jamestown.

Elizabeth is survived by two daughters, Verna Louze, Duluth, MN and Marian Smith, Minneapolis, MN; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers and four sisters.
