Eleanor Paczkowski

Eleanor Paczkowski, 83, of Kensal, ND, died Monday, December 10, 2007 at Golden Acres Manor in Carrington.

Eleanor ""Ella"" Heil was born December 23, 1923 in Richardton, ND. Ella was one of eight children born to Markus and Barbara (Heck) Heil. She attended a country school at Corinne township in Stutsman County, ND. Ella married John Paczkowski on February 2, 1943 in Kensal, ND. They farmed in the Kensal area until John's death in 1991.

Ella enjoyed cooking for her family, along with various crafts and gardening. Ella was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, St. John's Altar Society, the Kensal Community choir and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Ella is survived by two sons, Elliot (Mary) Paczkowski, Kensal and Elden (Amy) Paczkowski, Apple Valley, MN; four daughters, Eldora (Gene) Walters, Bismarck, ND, Elaine (David) Soupir, Courtenay, ND, Ione (Pat) Jacobson, Chandler, AZ and Joanelle (Rick) Winjum, Fargo, ND; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one infant daughter, Mary; parents and three brothers and four sisters.

Visitation: 1:00 to 5:00 PM, Thursday, December 13, 2007 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Prayer Service: 7:30 PM, Thursday, December 13, 2007 at St. John's Catholic Church, Kensal, ND.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Friday, December 14, 2007 at St. John's Catholic Church, Kensal, ND with Fathers Steve Meyer and Al Bitz officiating.

Burial: St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Kensal, North Dakota.
