Elbie Kylmanen

Elbie Kylmanen, 89, Twin Valley, MN formerly of, Jamestown, North Dakota passed away Friday, December 6, 2013 at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, North Dakota. Elbie C. Janko was born January 22, 1924 in Iowa to Wesley and Blanche (Ludorchek) Janko. She married Wesley Kylmanen on April 15, 1941. They made their home on a farm near Kintyre, ND. In 1954, they moved to Jamestown where Elbie and Wesley worked at the North Dakota State Hospital until their retirement in the early 80's. Wesley passed away in 1999. Elbie resided in Jamestown later moving to Carrington to the Holy Family Villa. In 2006, she moved to Twin Valley, MN and lived at the Lincoln Terrace. She moved to the Twin Valley Center, October 12, 2013. She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends. Elbie also liked writing letters, reading the Bible and riding around in the scooter with her friends at the Lincoln Terrace. She is survived by her daughter, Gladys (Jerry) Hertel, Pingree, ND; two sons, Kenneth (Linda) Kylmanen, Twin Valley, MN and Marvin Kylmanen, Fargo, ND; 13 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Wesley, son, Edwin, three brothers, Milo, John, Bill Janko and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Richard Reynolds, officiating.

Visitation: 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, December 10 at Eddy Funeral Home
