Elaine Scallon

Elaine Scallon, 64, of rural Edgeley, ND, passed away peacefully at her home in the early morning hours of Wednesday, February 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Elaine was born on July 5, 1961, to Lawrence and Darlene (Dathe) Aman. She was raised in Ellendale, ND, and graduated from Ellendale High School in 1979. With a strong sense of duty and service, Elaine proudly served in the National Guard.

On August 16, 1980, Elaine was united in marriage to Kenny Scallon at Zion Lutheran Church in Ellendale. Together they built a life and a home on the family farm near Edgeley, ND, where Elaine remained throughout her life. She worked for many years as a receptionist at the Ellendale Nursing Home and Sanford Clinic, where she was known for her kindness, warmth, and welcoming spirit.

Family was the center of Elaine’s world. She shared a deep and devoted love with her husband, Kenny, and took great pride in her sons and their families. Nothing brought her more joy than being surrounded by her grandchildren, whose laughter and milestones meant everything to her. Elaine treasured time spent with her extended family and looked forward to gatherings, holidays, and special occasions, where her presence, encouragement, and genuine love for others were always felt. She had a special gift for making everyone feel welcome, valued, and cared for.

Elaine also found great joy in bowling, a pastime that became a lifelong passion and a meaningful part of her social life. She proudly bowled in a women’s league for many years with her mom by her side. Forming lasting friendships and creating countless memories at the lanes. Whether celebrating a good game or simply enjoying time with her teammates, bowling brought her immense happiness.

Elaine loved spending summers camping, making memories outdoors with family and friends. She also enjoyed tending her garden, mowing the lawn, and swimming. Above all, she cherished time spent with those she loved most.

Elaine is lovingly remembered by her husband, Kenny Scallon; her sons, Kent Scallon and Tim (Rebekah) Scallon; her grandchildren, Kenley, Raylin, Allie, and Oliver; her mother, Darlene Aman; her brothers, Duane, and Dale; and her sister, Joan (Terry) Farthing.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Aman

Memorial Service – 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Zion Lutheran Church, Ellendale, with Pastor Dwaine Doremus officiating.
