Duane Stroh

Duane Gene Stroh, 76, of Adrian passed away July 18, 2026 at his home with his family by his side. He was born October29, 1949 to Bernard Henry Stroh & Harriet Marie Calkins Stroh at Valley City Mercy Hospital. He graduated from Dickey High school in 1968. He served in the National Guards. He married Karen Gahner on July 12, 1974. They farmed and milked cows with his parents in Adrian. In 1995 they sold the milk cows and raised beef cattle. He retired in 2025 when Waylen took over the farm, but still continued raising cattle. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Dickey N D.

Duane will be remembered by his wife & son, Waylen Stroh from Adrian N. D, two sisters, Peggy & (Bob) Roehrich, Valley City, Carol & (Tim) Staiger, Fargo N.D; one brother, Edward & (Kate) Stroh Fargo N.D; two brothers-in-law, Duane Gahner, Jamestown & Steve & (Rebecca) Gahner, Philippines; one sister-in-law, Sandy & (Tab Tweten), Bismarck ND; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard & Harriet Stroh; in-laws, Roy and Esther Gahner; his grandparents, George & Carolina Calkins & Edward & Freida Stroh; his nephew Travis Stroh; and great nephew, Colin Richter.

Prayer Service – 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 24, 2026 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown.

Mass of Christian Burial – 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Assumption Catholic Church, Dickey N.D.  Both services will be livestreamed on this obituary page.

Visitation – One hour before each service.

Burial – Assumption Cemetery, Dickey, at a later date.
