Dorine Nohrenberg 84, of Jamestown ND, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 12, 2025, at SMP Health - Ave Maria Jamestown.
Dorine Marie (Ohlmann) Nohrenberg was born on December 29, 1940, in Valentine, NE to Helmuth D. and Selma (Stolzenburg) Ohlmann. She was born again into the family of God by the Sacrament of Holy Baptism on January 12, 1941 and confirmed her baptismal vows in the rite of confirmation on May 16, 1954.
Dorine grew up in Valentine, NE and graduated high school from Northwestern Lutheran Academy in Mobridge, SD in 1958. She attended Dr. Martin Luther College and Immanuel Lutheran College in MN. She was called to teach at Our Saviors Lutheran School in Jamestown where she met her future husband Arlo Nohrenberg. They were married November 28, 1965, in Valentine, NE. Once they were married, she became a full-time housewife on the family farm south of Pingree, ND. She enjoyed getting together with all her family and friends. She worked at the Pingree Café for many years. She was very involved with her church where she taught Sunday school and was the church organist.
In 1995, they retired from active farming and mom and dad enjoyed spending their winters in Arizona.
Dorine is survived by a son, Joel (Kimberly) Nohrenberg, Jamestown, ND, grandchildren; Reed (Johanna) Nohrenberg, Fargo, ND, Andrew (Carissa) Nohrenberg, Nampa, ID and Kailynn Nohrenberg, Jamestown, ND. A daughter, Deborah (James) Lindvall, Larimore, ND, grandchildren; Tessa Lee, Jamestown, Alyssa Lindvall (Fiancée Ashtyn Weixel) Gilby, ND and step grandson Taylor Lindvall, Jamestown. Family friend Phyllis Schuler, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, other family members and soon to be born great granddaughter baby Nohrenberg.
She is preceded in death by her husband Arlo, her parents, brothers, Don Ohlmann and Dick Ohlmann, sister Delores Aswege and an infant grandson, Taylor Nohrenberg.
Funeral Service - 10:30am, Wednesday, June 18th, 2025 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 325 5th Ave SE, Jamestown with Pastor James Naumann officiating.
Visitation- 2:00pm – 5:00pm with family receiving friends from 5:00pm-7:00pm, Tuesday, June 17th, 2025 at Eddy Funeral Home.
Burial- Pingree Cemetery, Pingree, ND.
