Donna Mae Ginsbach

July 6, 1919 — December 12, 2013

Donna Mae Ginsbach, 94, of Jamestown, ND, died Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Eventide at Hi-Acres, Jamestown.

Donna Mae Campbell was born on July 6, 1919, at Buchanan, ND, the daughter of Isaac and Alice (Wheeler) Campbell. She graduated from Buchanan High School. On August 2, 1937, Donna married Arnold Ginsbach. They lived in the Edmunds community and farmed in the area until retiring in 1980. They had a new home built on the west side of the Jamestown Reservoir in 1978. Arnold died in 2001 and Donna later sold the home and moved to the Heritage Centre in Jamestown. She worked at the DePuy Sorkness Clinic as a receptionist and medical records clerk, and later at the Jamestown Hospital in the insurance department.

Donna was a volunteer at chapel masses at Central Dakota Village and a volunteer of the Jamestown Hospital Auxiliary until health problems caused her limitations. She was a member of the Basilica of St. James and the Tabernacle Society.

Donna's greatest joy was doing for others: Arnold, her family, neighbors and friends, especially those in need. She was often on her way with a dish or pan of food to share. Donna really enjoyed being busy with her family, church, garden, yard and flowers, and baking homemade bread and giving it to her neighbors. She enjoyed volunteer work, her crochet hook, craft work, as well as her many friends. Most of all, she was never too tired at the end of the day to enjoy dancing with Arnold and their friends. Her many friends have been "very" special.

Donna is survived by a son, Ed Ginsbach, Chanhassen, MN; six grandchildren, Todd (Beth) Ginsbach, Milford, MI, Jason Ginsbach, Las Vegas, NV, Linda (Jake) Wells, Vail, CO, Kordell (Karla) Balster, Aberdeen, SD, Kevin (Stacy) Balster, Casper, WY, and Kurtis Balster, Fargo, ND; 12 great-grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews - all "so special" as well as many, many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; a son, Ronald; a daughter, Sandy Balster; her parents; four brothers; and four sisters.
