Donald Osborne, 66, of Wimbledon, ND, passed away at his home on June, 28, 2026.

Donald was born in Kensal, ND on December 19,1959 to Shirley (Burke) and Harold Osborne. Don attended school in Wimbledon and graduated in May 1978. During high school Don enjoyed playing basketball and participating in 4-H. After high school, Don went to NDSU and graduated in 1982 with a degree in Animal Science. At NDSU, Don was active on the Livestock Judging Team and the Saddle and Sirloin Club. He returned to Wimbledon after college to farm and raise purebred Columbia sheep and cattle with his father, Harold. He was active in the Columbia Sheep Breeders Association and the North Dakota Lamb and Wool Association.

Don married Joan Carson of Hoople, ND on July 9, 1983. They had two children, Paul Osborne and James Osborne. They were married from 1983-1986. Don married Anne Chase of Fargo on October 4, 1996. They had one child, Katherine Osborne and were married from 1996-2019.

When not in the sheep barn, Don enjoyed visiting with friends and neighbors, playing and helping coach basketball, attending his children’s school and 4-H activities, playing cards, reading, and traveling to Mexico during the winters.

He is survived by his three children, Paul (Jess Reed) Osborne, Grand Forks, Jim Osborne, Jamestown and one daughter, Katherine Osborne, Fargo; granddaughter, Ansleigh Osborne; three sisters, Linda (Lori) Stewart, Bucerias, Nayarit, Mexico, Carole Attleson, Jamestown, and Dianne (Tim) Doll, New Salem, ND. Additionally, extended family and friends from North Dakota to Mexico. Don was preceded in death by his parents and his favorite pets including Pepe and Arlie.

Celebration of Life Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2026, St. John’s United Methodist Church, Wimbledon, ND with Pastor Jeanne Sortland officiating. Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2026, Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown. Inurnment: Prairie View Cemetery, Wimbledon, ND.
