Craig Runck

Philip Craig Runck, age 65, Jamestown, ND, passed away on October 24, 2014 at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND, after a courageous, seven-year cancer journey. Craig was born on April 29, 1949, the son of Phillip and Lottie Mae (Lewis) Runck of Wimbledon, ND. He grew up there and graduated from Wimbledon High School. Following his graduation from Bismarck Junior College, he worked in the body shop at Midwest Motors and later at Dakota Bake N Serv. He retired from Duratech Industries after 32 years, in 2010. He married Judi Lochow and they had two sons. On October 21, 1978, he married the love of his life, Evelyn Johnson-Steele, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jamestown, where they made their home. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and served as a head usher there for several years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards. His family was the joy of his life. He and Evelyn traveled extensively throughout their years together. Their favorite trips were to Alaska, where they once were able to take their sons and spouses creating memories to last a lifetime. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, Jamestown, ND; two sons, Christopher (Barbara), Lakeville, MN, Nicholas (Nickela), Lisbon, ND; step-son, Nathan Steele, Jamestown, ND; eight grandchildren, Ryan (Lauren), stationed at Ft. Hood, TX, Austin, Ashley, Wyatt, and Parker Runck and Dacotah, Shayla, and Dylan Steele; sister, Carlla (Leon) Maki, Jamestown, ND; brother, Kim (DelMari), Alexandria, MN and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew.

Memorial Service: 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Kristi Weber, officiating.
No Visitation Scheduled.
Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Monday, October 27 at Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens.
