Christine Wagner, 98, Bismarck, ND, formerly of Jamestown, died Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Sanford St. Vincent's Care Center in Bismarck.
Christine Henrietta Nannenga was born September 7, 1914 in Bloom Township, rural Jamestown, ND, the daughter of Helmer and Louise (Jeske) Nannenga. She was educated in Bloom Township school, attended St. John's Academy and graduated from Jamestown Public Schools. On November 28, 1936 Christine married Francis John Wagner in Moorhead, MN. They lived in Fargo, ND until they moved to rural Jamestown in 1937. They farmed northeast of Jamestown until 1974 when they moved into town. Francis died in 1975, and Christine continued to live in their home until 2002 when she moved to Bismarck.
Christine was a member of the Basilica of St. James, St. Anne's Circle, a lifetime member of the Tabernacle Society and 50 plus year member of the Bloom Homemakers. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing, crafts, cooking, baking, and visiting with her children amd grandchildren.
Christine is survived by five children, Alice (Milton) Wagner, Spanaway, WA, Mary Tibbitts, Minot, ND, John (LaRae) Wagner, Belfield, ND, Steven (Donna) Wagner, San Tan Valley, AZ and Diane (Wayne) Goter, Mandan, ND; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; four brothers; five sisters, and three grandsons.
