Carol Gilbertson

Carol Gilbertson, 76, Jamestown, ND died Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, SD.

Carol Elizabeth Baker was born April 24, 1937 in Sarles, ND, the youngest of eight children to William and Elenore (May) Baker. Carol was married in 1962 in California to Earl B. Maine and they later divorced. They had two children together, Kathleen and Kenneth. She was a dance instructor. She was employed at the Kaiser Hospitals in California and Colorado. She moved to Jamestown in 1973 and was employed at White Drug, the Anne Carlsen Center and for 22 years at the Stutsman County Auditor's office. Carol married Dennis R. Gilbertson May 4, 2007 in Jamestown.

Carol enjoyed volunteering for the Senior Companion program. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Carol is survived by her husband, Dennis, Jamestown; two children, Kathleen (Bill) Roe, Lincoln, CA and Kenneth (Sarah) Maine, Grand Haven, MI; seven grandchildren, David and Elizabeth Roe, John Owen, Charles, Clara, Josiah and Benjamin Maine; four stepchildren, Tricia (Kelly) Skattum and children, Sean (Kelsey) and Thea; Tammi (Rod) Bender and children, Benjamin and Jordan; Tess Gilbertson and children, Crystal and Jaci (Matt) Koschney, and Dean (Melissa) Gilbertson and children, Sierra, Cameron and Taydem; four great step-grandchildren; one sister, Hazel Buzick, Aurora, CO and one brother, Marvin (Pat) Baker, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers and sisters,
