Carmelita "Carmie" Senger

Carmelita Senger was born on October 15, 1959 to Wendelin and Elizabeth (Jangula) Senger in Ellendale, N.Dakota. She passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Prince of Peace in Ellendale, NDak, at the age of 66. She had been a residence of Prince of Peace for 2 years. She had been receiving HIA Hospice care out of Jamestown N.Dakota. She passed away battling congestive heart failure.

Dear Sister as we lay you to rest, your kind loving spirit, beautiful warm smile, will forever have a profound mark in our hearts. We have comfort knowing you're reunited with Dad, Mom, and Brother.

Carmie was a gifted child and had a disability but lived her life to the fullest.

In her earlier years she went to Grafton State School in Grafton, N.Dakota. In 1976 - 1980 she attended Lamoure Public School, where she was enrolled in the Special Education Program and received her diploma. A milestone achievement for our sister. Her parents were very proud of what Carmie had achieved and it helped pave the way for a brighter future and her years ahead.

Carmie lived independently in Jamestown, N.Dakota for many years. Carmie was in a program through Alpha Opportunities where they assisted her with part time employment opportunities and activities that enriched her daily life. Carmie was very active in her 20's and 30's with Special Olympics, where she specialized in track, javelin, shot put, bowling, and basketball. She lived life and didn't let her disability limit her lifestyle or desire to reach for the stars.

Carmie was a special gift from God, and her smile and love for her parents and siblings shined brightly. Carmie loved the Christmas holiday season, the season brought enormous joy to her and she lit up like a Christmas tree, she loved to share gifts and recieve gifts with her family and her spirit will forever be in our hearts.

Carmie is survived by her siblings, Elizabeth Debruler, Bioloxi, MS. Charlie Senger, Edgeley, MariAnn Johnson, Sioux Falls, SD, Joesph Senger, Edgeley, Sarah, (Mike) Mesmer, LaCrosse, WI, Robert Senger, Edgeley, Dennis Senger, Edgeley, niece Christina, (Mike) Ruder, Sioux Falls SD, nephew, Michael Senger, Fargo, NDak, nephew Orion,(Cheyenne) Mesmer, LaCrosse, WI, niece, Savanah Mesmer, LaCrosse, WI, four great nieces and nephews and many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

Carmie is proceeded in death by her parents Wendelin and Elizabeth Senger, brother Wendelin Jr, brother-in-law, William Debruler, Uncle Jim Jangula.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:30 PM, Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley, ND. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Edgeley, ND.
