Beulah "Sully" Havelick, 88, Jamestown, North Dakota, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Eventide at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home, Jamestown, under the care of hospice.
Sully was born November 10, 1923, in Woodworth, ND, the daughter of Martin and Albertine (Thompson) Sullivan. Just before she entered first grade, her family moved to Jamestown where she resided most of her life. Sully went to school in Jamestown graduating in 1942. She worked various jobs, but the longest duration was at Kings Studio. She retired after working for Kings for 23 years. During her earlier years she was a league bowler but after retirement found her true love which was golf. Sully was united in marriage to Robert Havelick on September 2, 1944 at San Antonio, TX. After Robert was honorably discharged from the service, they returned to Jamestown where they raised their family, consisting of three daughters. Sully was an active member of Grace Episcopal Church, Jamestown. She was a voracious reader and loved doing crossword puzzles. Sully is survived by two daughters, Laurel Dewald, Rochester, MN and Carol Manning, Jamestown; five grandchildren, Tony (Nicole) Dewald, Waynesboro, VA, David (Tracey) Dewald, Verona, WI, Stephanie Dewald, Chicago, IL, Pamela Boxell, Dassel, MN and John Miller (Darci), Grand Forks, ND and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, husband, two brothers, Maurice Sullivan and LeRoy Sullivan, one sister, Dolly Kenna, daughter, Gayle and one grandson.
