Betty M (Lee) Kooker

July 15, 1928 — August 5, 2021

Betty M. Kooker, 93, Jamestown, ND, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at Eventide Nursing Home.

Betty was born on July 15, 1928 in Sterling, ND, the daughter of F.M. “Marion” and Pauline (Envik) Lee. She graduated from Bismarck High School in 1946 and attended Bismarck Business College. She worked at the State Capitol in the Department of Agriculture and Labor.

On June 15, 1948, she married Richard B. Kooker at the Presbyterian Church in Bismarck. They moved to Jamestown. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Jamestown since 1950. She enjoyed having coffee with friends, her church groups, book club and Minnesota Twins baseball.

Betty is survived by two sons, Terry, Linton, ND, and David, Medina, ND; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, John; daughters-in-law, Bonnie and Alice; two sisters-in-law; and step-father, C.J. Wright.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Jamestown United Presbyterian Church or National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Monday, August 9, 2021 at United Presbyterian Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Bob Boyar officiating.

Burial: Dawson Cemetery, Dawson, ND.

Arrangements are in the care of Eddy Funeral Home.
