Bernice Elhard

Bernice Elhard, 83, Jamestown, ND passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center, Jamestown, ND. Bernice Bitz was born February 19, 1932, to Fred and Emma (Scheuer) Bitz in Jamestown, ND. She attended school in Jamestown. Bernice married Lenhard Elhard in 1948. Bernice worked as a nurse at Trinity Hospital in Jamestown for many years. Lenhard passed away in 2004. Bernice enjoyed knitting, crocheting, working with plastic canvas, playing bingo and doing crossword puzzles. She is survived by five children; Doug Elhard, Seattle, WA, Kenneth Elhard, Jamestown, ND, Gerald (Clara) Elhard, Fargo, ND, Diana (Donald) Anderson, Franklin, TN, Bernelle "Mel" Elhard, Jamestown, ND; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Olivia LaDoucer, Grand Forks, ND and Aunt Betty Elhard and girls. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter-in-law and three brothers.

Funeral Service: 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 19 at Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Bryce Tahran, officiating.
Visitation: 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Friday, December 18 at Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial in Spring: Sunset Memorial Gardens.
