Barbara Kay Lackman

Barbara K. Lackman, 83, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Tuesday evening, April 7th, 2026 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Barbara was born October 5, 1942, in St. Cloud, MN, the daughter of Harold and Juletta (Gohman) Klein. In 1945, the family moved to a farm near Berlin, ND. She graduated from Monango High School in 1961 and worked at the ASC office in LaMoure until she married Jacob (Paul) Lackman on September 10th, 1965 in Aberdeen, SD. After Paul was discharged from the US Navy, they made their home in Jamestown where they worked for Western Gear for many years. Barbara ran the process line and enjoyed over 30 years at Collins Aerospace. Barbara also started an in home bakery, WanaMakeCakes, that she continued several years after "retiring."

Barb is survived by sons, Jeff and Jamie; daughter, Kathy, grandchildren, Taylor and Ethan; two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Kaylynn who were the lights of her life; sisters Joan, Jean (Bob), Kathy, and Peggy: and brother Harold Jr. "Butch" (Arlyce).

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters Delores and Patty; and infant daughter, Lori.

Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Interment: North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.
