Ardelle M. Rosenau

Ardelle May Rosenau, 85, of Eldridge, ND died Thursday April 3, 2014, at her home.

Ardelle May Hennings, daughter of Edward and Anne (Young) Hennings, was born in Stutsman County, ND on August 25, 1928 according to her legal birth certificate. She always celebrated her birthday on August 29th as that is what her mother told her was her birthday. She attended rural schools near her home.

On June 10, 1948, Ardelle married Harlan J. Rosenau at the Eldridge Lutheran Church. They farmed near Eldridge until 1988 when they retired, but continued to live on the farm.

Ardelle was a member of St. John?s Lutheran Church, Jamestown, and a member of Prairie Homemakers for many years. She also enjoyed her monthly meetings with the Birthday Club and many close friends. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening and especially her flower gardens.

Ardelle is survived by her husband Harlan, Eldridge; three children, Rick (Tamera Ward), Lincoln, NE, Kathie (Brian) Lindsay, Jamestown, and Kevin (Deborah), Garland, NE; six grandchildren, Chad, Dane, Troy, Matthew, Jim and Ed; 4 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Melvin (Frances) Hennings, Lone Oak, TX, Lee (Thelma) Hennings, Jamestown, ND and Larry (Joyce) Hennings Arlington, TX, and one sister Rosanne Farrell, Jamestown, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and one sister.
