Ann Kern

Ann Kern, 74, died at Jamestown Regional Medical Center on November 25 after a short illness. Ann was born on October 2, 1945 to Paul and Rosanne (Palmer) Albrecht at Trinity Hospital, Jamestown. Ann graduated from Courtenay High School in 1963. She then attended Ozark Airline School in Peoria, Illinois. She was employed as secretary and bookkeeper for several years. She was involved in the home and hobby department of the Stutsman County Fair for many years. Ann married Ron Kern on July 31, 1974 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. They resided in Galena, Illinois for a year before make their home in the current Wimbledon-Courtenay area. Ann loved to sew, gardening, crafts, and especially loved her animals.

Ann was survived by husband, Ron; sisters, Diane Albrecht, Sparks, Nevada, Mary Albrecht, Bismarck, Yvonne (Jim) Szarkowski, Jamestown; and brother, Dennis Albrecht, Courtenay; in-laws, Norma Jean (Ray) Kirpes, Dubuque, Iowa, Leo & Treva Kern, Galena, Illinois, Marilyn & Fred Burdt, Marietta, California; and many nieces and nephews.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Margaret (Jim) Zimmermann; and in-laws, Jerome and Caroline Kern; and Donna Wilkenson.

Final internment will be a private family ceremony.
