Amelia Gruebele, 87, Valley City, ND, formerly of Jamestown, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Sheyenne Care Center, Valley City.
Amelia Remmick was born November 26,1925 in Robinson, ND, the daughter of Jacob and Anna (Kaseman) Remmick. She received her education in rural Robinson schools. On November 2, 1946 Amelia married Edward Gruebele in the Petersville Church, north of Pettibone, ND. They farmed in the Pettibone, Courtenay and Wimbledon areas for many years. In 1973 they moved to Jamestown and Amelia worked for the North Dakota State Hospital for 20 years as a medical technician.
Amelia enjoyed quilting, reading, baking and cooking. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the VFW Auxillary.
Amelia is survived by two daughters, Carol (Lowell) Jordahl, Hawley, MN and Colleen (Tom) Musgrave, Valley City; two sons, Dallas (Linda) Gruebele, Valley City and Cal (Gayle) Gruebele, Breckenridge, MN; daughter-in-law, Kathy Gruebele, McHenry, ND; twelve grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Larry; two grandchildren, Shawn Marie Gruebele and Jesse Curtis Gruebele; one great-grandson, Tyce Daniel Musgrave; and ten brothers and sisters.
