Alvira C. Krubeck, 83, Jamestown, North Dakota died Friday, September 26, 2003 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home, Jamestown. Alvira Morehouse was born October 10, 1919 near Sanish, North Dakota the daughter of Emmet and Alma (Christianson) Morehouse. She grew up and attended school in Courtenay, ND. Alvira married John Krubeck on October 20, 1939 in Jamestown. They farmed in Ashland Township all their lives. John died May 16, 1985. Alvira moved to Jamestown in 1994 and resided in various basic care facilities and nursing homes since that time.
She was a 4-H leader for over 20 years and worked for Stutsman County Social Services for 8 years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and received her high school diploma in 1979 by correspondence.
Alvira is survived by a daughter, Elaine Lewis of Sparks, Nevada, 2 grandsons, Bradley Dorr, Albany, NY and Brent Myer, Columbia, MO, two sisters, Frances Beck and Violet Spaulding, Alexandria, MN and one brother, Al Morehouse, Courtenay, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers.
Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wimbledon, North Dakota with Rev. Robert Leiste officiating.
Visitation: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday, September 29, 2003 at Eddy Funeral Home.
Burial: Prairie View Cemetery, Wimbledon, North Dakota.
