Albert Wolf, 91, Jamestown, ND passed away on September 14, 2025 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Albert was born on October 17, 1933, in Kidder County, the son of John and Emma (Oberlander) Wolf. He attended rural schools through the 8th grade before working on the family farm. On May 26, 1957, he married Lillian Martin at Glueckstal Lutheran Church in rural Tappen. Later that year, they moved to Jamestown, where they raised their four children and were active members of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Lillian passed away on May 2, 1986.

Throughout his life Albert worked for Lindberg Construction, Dan Dugan, Standard (Amoco) Oil, and Mayer Truckline. He retired in November 1994 after many years of hard work and dedication.

On May 5, 1999, he married Violet (Vi) Degenstein. They shared 14 years together until her passing on September 23, 2013.

Albert enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. Known for his warm smile and kind heart, he had a way of making people feel welcome. In retirement, he especially enjoyed morning coffee at Hardee’s with friends and family. He was always ready to lend a helping hand will be remembered as a hardworking and generous man.

Albert is survived by his children Mark (Cheryl) Wolf, Kirby (Sherry Nitschke) Wolf, Deborah (Pete) Leno and Judith Butler; grandchildren Derrick Hansen, Kristin (Leo) Budija, Janna Hansen, Nathan Wolf, Lucas (Brooke) Leno, Seth Leno, Aaron (Alyssa) Butler, and Zach Butler; 12 great-grandchildren; sister Violet (Earl) Heidt; sisters-in-law Hattie Wolf, Crystal Martin, Janice Hoff, Karen Martin, and Cindy (Quentin) Carlson; brother-in-law Donald Martin; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wives Lillian and Violet; brothers Elmer Wolf, Clarence (Arlene) Wolf, Harvey (Betty) Wolf, and Clifford (Lorraine) Wolf; sisters Lorraine (Harold) Steffens, Eileen (Milton) Genzel, and Florence Schweitzer; sisters-in-law Debbie Martin and Marilyn Lott; and brothers-in-law Hilbert Martin, James Martin, and Arnold Hoff.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, September 18 at Eddy Funeral Home followed by a prayer service at 7pm. Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Friday, September 19 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Pastor Erik Weber officiating. Interment in Highland Home Cemetery.
