Rhea Thoms, 87, Jamestown, North Dakota died Sunday, December 18, 2005 at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND.
Rhea Lorraine Boettcher was born December 20, 1917 in Golden Valley, ND the daughter of William and Marie (Schulze) Boettcher. She moved to Eureka when she was 3 years old and attended Eureka Public Schools. After graduation Rhea started work at the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company on May 1, 1937. She transferred to the Jamestown office on October 3, 1941 and after 41 years and 5 months she retired on October 5, 1978. Rhea married Marvin A. Thoms on December 29, 1947.
Rhea is survived by her husband; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Don (Ella) Thoms, Spiritwood, ND and sister-in-law, Merna Olson, Lewistown, MT; nieces; Edith Boettcher, Seattle, WA, Anna Marie Boettcher, North Queensland, Australia, Ethel Mae Nelson, Snoqualmie, WA, Judy (Mike) Riendel, Menoken, ND, Marilyn Mahlke, Lewistown, MT, Elsie (Bill) Huss, Great Falls, MT and Jackie McClure, Wickenburg, AZ and nephews, Greg Boettcher, Pierre, SD, Fred (Carol) Martin, Bert (Marty) Gray, Del (Joan) Martin, all of Jamestown and Duane (Brenda) Thoms, Courtenay, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
Funeral Service: 1:00 PM, Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at Atonement Lutheran Church with Pastor Steve Berntson officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Home.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
