Ramona Bomstad

Ramona Kathryn Bomstad, 83, Jamestown, North Dakota died Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Ramona was born September 2, 1935 in Merricourt, ND, the daughter of Phillip and Emily Young. She grew up on the family farm near Merricourt and graduated from Kulm High School in 1953, and attended Town and Country Beauty College.

Ramona married Ralph Smith. They had three children, Jon, Pennie and Cyd.

Ramona married David MacKenzie. Unfortunately, Camille Emily was called by the Lord before birth.

On August 17, 1972, Ramona married Burnette Bomstad in Aberdeen SD. They moved to Jamestown and had one child together, Ryan. She was a Beautician in Jamestown for 50 plus years.

She had a green thumb and loved spending time planting flowers. She had a passion for hair and making everyone look beautiful. She was a collector of life.

Ramona is survived by her four children and three step children, Jon Smith, Jamestown, ND, Pennie (Tom) Schmidt, Moorhead, MN, Cyd Renner, Edgeley, ND, Ryan (Kimberly) Bomstad, Barnesville, MN, Jeff Bomstad, Fargo, ND, Joel Bomstad, Moorcroft, WY, Jana McLean, Moorcroft, WY, 14 Grandchildren, Chris (Melanie) Lindgren, Aaron Dressel, Rachel (Fiancé Conner Florey) Schmidt, Gabriel Schmidt, Shannon Augeson, Chase (Kim) Augeson, Joe Smith, Braelyn Bomstad, Colton Bomstad, Jacob Bomstad, Josh Bomstad, Cody McLean, Cassie (Logan) Suter and Robby Bernard; 8 Great Grandchildren, Jenna Lindgren, Payton Lindgren, Paige Lindgren, Ayden Rapske, Raegen Hartman, Taryn Hartman, Layla Suter and Miles; five sisters, Norma (Arlie) Schlecht, Ruth (Dennis) Buchholz, Linda Kunerth, Joyce Roepke, Sue (Bruce) Lindgren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Carol and Lois, and 3 brothers Gene, Don, and Jim; Ralph Smith; David MacKenzie; Burnette Bomstad and one child, Camille Emily.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Friday, February 15, 2019 at First United Methodist Church, Jamestown with Pastor Elmo officiating.

Visitation: 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, February 14, 2019 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown ND.

Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Thursday, February 14, 2019 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.
