Jeremiah J. Bjerke, 34, of Jamestown, ND, passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 5, 2019.
Jeremiah John Bjerke was born in Jamestown on September 12, 1984, the son of Dale Bjerke and Joanie (Miemietz) Bjur. He attained his GED and began his adventurous working career. Jeremiah worked in construction, carpentry and cement along with building pole barns, maintaining cellphone towers and painting. He also worked at the Anne Carlsen Center for Children as a CNA. Jeremiah was most recently employed at Holte Construction.
He had a colorful personality and would pull pranks on those he loved. Jeremiah was reliable and always put others first. He loved the outdoors and would hunt, fish, trap and hike in his free time.
Jeremiah is survived by his mother, Joanie Bjur; father, Dale (Marie) Bjerke; brother, Joshua Bjerke; sisters, Kayla (Cody) Elton, BriAnna (Nathan) Schweitzer, and Alicia Bjerke; step-father, Mike Bjur; paternal grandmother, Marjorie Bjerke; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his three pugs.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Delores and John Miemietz; paternal grandfather, Ernest Bjerke; and niece, Brooklyn Martinson.
Celebration of Life: 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the Temple Baptist Church, Jamestown.
