Clinton Irvin Zinke

Clinton Irvin Zinke, 64 Jamestown, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 in his home under hospice care.
Clint was born in Jamestown on September 17, 1951, the son of Marvin, Dorene, and the late Irvin Zinke. He was the big brother of Stuart, Jill, Meggen, and Chris. He graduated from Jamestown High School, attended NDSU, and earned a Civil Engineering Technology degree at the North Dakota State School of Science. Clint worked in the City of Jamestown Engineer's office for 35 years and retired in 2012. He married Dawn Goter in 1980. Clint enjoyed playing softball and golf as well as following Bison football, the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Twins. Clint's biggest passion was for wildlife and the great outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends especially lifelong friend Tim Harr. Clint was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Stutsman County Wildlife Club, United Sportsman of Jamestown, and Ducks Unlimited. Clint is a Life Member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation having started the Jamestown Chapter, and served as the Chapter Chair for the first five years.
Clint is survived by his wife, Dawn; parents Marvin and Dorene Zinke; siblings; Stuart (Kathy) Zinke, Coeur d'Alene, ID, Jill (Bob) Larson, Valley City, Meggen (Randy Henke) Jamestown, Chris Zinke Jamestown, many treasured nieces and nephews, and his hunting and fishing compadres.
A prayer service will be held at 7:00 on Tuesday, October 13 at Eddy Funeral Chapel with family receiving friends beginning at 5:30. Clint's memorial service will be at 10:30 am, Wednesday, October 14 at Atonement Lutheran Church in Jamestown.
Memorial suggestions are; Jamestown Regional Medical Center Hospice, Jamestown Regional Medical Center Oncology Unit, and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
