Joan C. Keyes, 71, Jamestown, North Dakota passed away Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Jamestown Hospital.
Joan Duven was born July 23, 1938, in Jamestown, the daughter of Elmer and Mildred (Holand) Duven. She was baptized at the Evangelical United Brethren Church of Marion on October 9, 1938. She graduated from Marion High School in 1956. On June 27, 1957 she married Dick Keyes and they made their home in Jamestown. She worked at Sears & Roebuck, North Dakota State Hospital and Otter Tail Power Company, until her retirement. After retiring, Joan & Dick managed the Lakeside Marina & Campground at the Jamestown Reservoir for many years.
Joan was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown. She enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, reading and quilting.
Joan is survived by two sons, Timothy (Kimberly) Keyes, Alfred, ND and Michael Keyes, Ypsilanti, ND; one daughter, Tracey (James) Wentland, Jamestown; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Bernie (Vicki) Duven, Jamestown.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and an infant sister.
