Timothy Rondestvedt Obituary

Timothy Rondestvedt, 72, of Spiritwood, ND, passed away at Jamestown Regional Medical Center on March 18, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Tim was born September 14, 1951, in Valley City, ND to Bernard and Virginia (Everson) Rondestvedt.  He attended school in North Central Barnes.  He married Lorna Palm, and they welcomed daughters, Tamara Rondestvedt and Heidi Kingsbury. He later married Patti (Arbuckle) Skjeret, July 17, 1987.

Tim began his electrician career at Curtis Electric as an apprentice. He later joined Ladish Malting Plant as a maintenance electrician. He proudly earned his journeyman certificate.

Tim enjoyed riding his Harley Fat Boy motorcycle with Patti. The two even attended a Sturgis Rally and took many trips to Medora. Tim and Patti enjoyed mowing their yard on the farm and waved at each other as they passed by on the riding mowers. Tim was very proud of the yard and trees that they planted together. In his pastime he also enjoyed playing his guitar and hanging out with his Dazey friends.  Hanna, the family dog, was an important friend during his journey, especially with his Alzheimer’s.

“Papa Timmy” loved his amazing grandkids and was most proud of them. He often played Ants in the Pants and Monopoly with them, and grandkids let him “win”.  Faith was a vital part of Tim’s life. It helped him through his journey.

Tim is survived by his wife, Patti, children Tamara Rondestvedt (Stewart Schanzenbach), Heidi (Fred) Kingsbury, Ryan (Jess) Skjeret, Matt (Jenny) Skjeret, brother Roger (Cathy) Rondestvedt and 7 beloved grandchildren: Jacoby Skjeret, Gavin Skjeret, Brooklyn Skjeret, Tyra Skjeret, Camden Skjeret, Poppy Skjeret, Sonny Skjeret.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Virginia Rondestvedt, Lorna Rondestvedt, brother Bernard “John” Rondestvedt, sister Penny Dahl, brother Rodney “Rocky” Rondestvedt, nephews Timothy Dean Rondestvedt, Shon Dixon Rondestvedt, and Ton Dahl and one great nephew John Hilgert.

Celebration of his Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 22, 2024, at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND.  Burial will be done at a later date. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff for the care provided while at Eventide. Memorials can be sent to James River Humane Society or Minnesota-North Dakota Alzheimer's or charity of choice.
